We spent our first day (our anniversary) at Disneyland Park. We got off the train around 9:00, so we quickly walked over to the hotel we stayed at - Disney's Sequoia Lodge, to drop our bags off. Then we were off to the park! Of course, we made a B-line over to Space Mountain 2. Adam was super excited, while I was a little nervous. I was sick the day before and I didn't know what to expect. But we went on, and it was AMAZING! It was so great that we went on again and then 2 more times the following day.

We won't say that this Space Mountain is better than the original, because nothing beats the original Space Mountain. But we will say it's different (in a good way). With the ride shooting you off into space, you're going fast the whole time, with all sorts of turns, a loop, and a corkscrew. Another difference is that you're not in complete darkness, with lights and different planets and meteors. Overall, it was a great ride and one of our favorites at DLP.
Our special day was spent riding as many rides as we could - Star Tours, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, Phantom Manor, Pinocchio, Snow White, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Thunder Mountain Railroad. We also enjoyed some other cool parts of the park as well!

The main attraction at Disneyland Park is Thunder Mountain, and it was hands down our favorite ride at the park. I will dare to say that Paris' version of the ride is better than the original (sorry!). The ride takes you under water and out onto an island where most of the roller coaster takes place. It's also faster and longer than the original. It was just so much fun! If we could go on it again and again, we probably would've.
For our anniversary dinner, we went to the Blue Lagoon! Like the one in LA, this restaurant also takes place inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. We had some tasty food, watched riders float along (when the ride wasn't "broken"), and reminisced about our wedding day, and how great of a day that was. <3 It was truly a great dinner and fun to remember our special day!

| The ride broke down in the middle of our dinner. Unfortunately more lights had to be turned on |
After dinner, we went on a couple more rides: Pirates of the Caribbean and Thunder Mountain (again). As soon as the park closed all of their rides, it was time for the final show: Disney Dreams. And this show was breathtaking! It was like a combination of World of Color, Fantasmic, and the Fireworks show. It featured songs and characters from all sorts of Disney movies, lights made the castle transform into many different things, there was fire, water, and amazing fireworks. Unfortunately pictures and video can't capture how magical the show was, but it was definitely our second favorite Disney show (Fantasmic is still #1).
And that concludes our magical Day 1! After the show we walked back to our hotel to catch some Z's to rest up for another day!
Since we stayed at a Disney hotel, we were able to get an extra Magic Hour (more like "hours"), where we got to enter Disney Park 2 hours before the park opened to the public. And of course we took advantage of that! Once we entered, we noticed Mickey and Minnie were right on main street, so we didn't hesitate to take some pictures with them!
| Mickey got jealous |
After hanging out with Disney's cutest couple, we went over to Fantasyland and Discoveryland (aka Tomorrowland) to ride Peter Pan, Dumbo, Buzz Lightyear, and Space Mountain (X2).
When it got closer to 10, we headed over to the other park - Walt Disney Studios. Where we spent the majority of the day. The main attraction at this park is Ratatouille, which was a super cool ride! We also went to a show - CinèMagique - which takes you through the history of film in an entertaining way. Other rides we went on were a Studio Tram Tour, Armageddon, RC Racer, and Rock 'n Roller Coaster.

At around 3, we left Walt Disney Studios, and headed over to the ever-fancy Disneyland hotel for a break and some refreshments before going back to Disney Park for a few more rides and attractions. Unfortunately we couldn't get on Pirates of the Caribbean and Phantom Manor again, since they oddly both broke down right as we were ready to get on the rides. But luckily we were able to end our day with one last ride on Thunder Mountain and catching a little bit of the afternoon parade. The parade ended around 6, and by that time we were feeling pretty pooped. So after that we said our goodbyes to Disney, and hopped on the train to go back "home."
We had an amazing time in Disneyland Paris, and we were so happy to be able to spend our wedding anniversary at one of our favorite places on earth! We wouldn't have had it any other way. We're already missing it and the magic!
